How to add custom size storage in vCloud Director “lifehack”

I’m new to vCloud Director and all VMWare stuff. When I just started to use it I was disappointed by vCloud Director ui. When you want to create a new Virtual Machine with custom sizing options you can not set your own storage size. It has only predefined storage sizes like 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and so on:

I haven’t found an answer on the internet. So I wrote about this issue to the local technical support. Answer was about to write them a letter with my desired sizing and they will create VM for me. This was not an option. After some time of practice creating VM machines and modifying them I found a solution(lifehack).

Just create a new VM without any storage defined. And don’t forget to uncheck “Power on”:

After VM being created go to VM settings -> Hardware tab -> Hard Disks and boom! Now you can add hard disk any size you prefer:
